We're Such Grown-Ups!

We bought a house!  Mom came to visit right after Mother's Day and was here for the walk-through and closing.  The paperwork wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be and the lawyer was telling jokes during it!  LOL  We drank our champagne and relished the fact that there are still two more weeks until we can start moving.Mom and I drove up to DC to see some family, a friend of mine from Middle School and go to a Bridal shower.  The closing paperwork didn't live up to its reputation...DC traffic exceeded it!  OMG- I've never experience anything like that in my life!  It took us two hours to go 30 miles for dinner and probably 1 1/2 to get back.  My nerves were never more frayed or my shoulders so tight.  The good news?  There's a WAGAMAMA!!!!!!  We are SO going back...and taking the metro:)

I posted about Rhoder on facebook when we dogsat a few weeks ago.  She and Hank got along GREAT!  We brought her over the our friend's house to play and they absolutely fell in love with her. They found a breeder in North Carolina who just happened to have a 10 weeks old Rhodesian Ridgeback who hadn't had a family good enough ask about her!  Mike and Haley studied up and answered all the questions correctly and came home with Ms. Melby!

How cute is she?! It took a few days but she's warming up to Hank and even played a little bit this morning:)  After playtime we made an awesome breakfast (see below), bought a couch off of Craigslist and I'm just now getting on the computer to start studying!  School hasn't started yet, but my Graduate exam (aka: thesis substitute) is in less than a month so I gotta get started!  I'll post pictures of our new house when we start moving in.  We've had everyone we know offer to help us  pack and move so it shouldn't be too long!  Our friends are the best:)

WIAW Boston Style

My extra day and a half in Boston were wonderful and full of Maccobys! It is nice to be home though. Chris was sleeping when I got home and got up 3 hours before me this morning, so hopefully I'll get to spend some time with him tonight.

One of Chris' buddies brought his dog Rocky over yesterday so we could watch him while they're on their honeymoon. Hank and Rocky play non stop! I had to put Rocky in his kennel while I showered to separate them! My house is going to be a mess until next week. I don't mind though, Hank really likes having a live-in playmate:)

Breakfast:
I grabbed a toffee nut latte from the Starbucks in the lobby most days in the hotel. Dad and I headed out into the Prudential Center one morning and tried the breakfast from Tossed. I got an egg bowl with spinach, roasted onions and feta cheese. I forgot to take a picture but I trust you can imagine yellow, white, more white and some green:)

Snack:
The hotel lobby had bowls of apples out almost every day which was perfect for grabbing something on our way out!

Lunch:
kare lomen prawn from none other than WAGAMAMA!! For the last 15 years I've only ever gotten chicken ramen, yaki soba and/or ebi gyoza from Wagamama so it was great to try something different. Here's the menu description: ramen noodles in a spicy red coconut and lemongrass soup topped with grilled chicken or prawns, beansprouts and cucumber. garnished with coriander and lime

It was delicious!

Dinner:
I've been able to find some great airport salads lately. This one from COSI had goat cheese, pistachios, grapes and cranberries! YUM!
