Sister Weekend!!

BIG NEWS- We have a date for Chris' return!  Assuming nothing changes (which is ALWAYS a bad thing to assume)- he'll be back July 14th!  Yippee!

In the meantime, I've been chipping away at the end of my internship hours and having a blast with tons of company.  Mom and Dad came for a few days last month, some family friends came a day after they left, and Blair was just here for my birthday!  Great times were had by all, but Blair's trip is freshest in my mind so here are some pics of an amazing week with the greatest sister:)

She flew in Wednesday night and I just HAD to spend Thursday showing her all around!  She'd never been before so I showed her around base and Ghent.  We went to Central Meats and bought food to cook for dinner that night, and she ended the night with some pretty serious Betty-snuggle time:)  After working a half day Friday, the weather was kinda icky so we painted pottery at Glazenfyre and went to the Khedive Rodeo.  It was such a blast! Sure, Blair may have wanted a Virginia-filled week but we added in a little Texas;)
In the stands waiting for the show to start, Enjoying the barrel racing
We hit the beach on Saturday!  The arts festival was on the boardwalk and we walked around, got some ice cream, and had fun being silly:)
Sandcastles in the saaaaaaaaand!

Our dear friends Adam and Jenny had us over for dinner on Saturday night and grilled a wonderful dinner.  We relaxed on Sunday with church and dogs on the beach to prepare for my birthday yesterday...which was AWESOME!!  Blair and I got up and out to be at Busch Gardens when they opened.  Neither of us had been before and we had SUCH a great time!!!  Because we got there early, we got onto all the good rides with hardly any waiting and still had time to see a show, shop some, AND re-ride the Griffon ride three times! We met Tori for dinner at the Melting Pot, then sweet Haley surprised me with cake and champagne afterwards. What a sugar and fun-filled day!
Haley's delicious, in a photo-booth, crazy fun ride, our scared faces- SO FUN!

LOVE 4 Day Weekends!

Happy Belated Labor Day! I took someone's wedding pictures off of facebook so I finally have some:) I think the Duck Boat pictures will take a little longer but I'm still on the look-out.

This is the group who went to Legal Seafood after the rehearsal dinner-it really was so great to see all of them again:

At the wedding-this was so fun too! Especially when someone grabbed my hand and we started dancing around them:) It was like a Jewish line dance! I only wish I'd had my boots...:

We did LOTS of dancing afterwards too... I hope I wasn't making that face all night long!

I got home to Chris, Hank and Rocky. As I said last week, they played absolutely non-stop. They spent a LOT of time outside!

On Saturday, the OCF dog owners met the the Little Creek Beach for some doggy beach time. It was such a blast! When we got there, Rocky immediately saw a large family having a BBQ and proceeded to run through them, eat some of their food and make a few little kids cry-eek!! After some not-so-friendly words, we moved about a quarter mile down the beach and they could run all over without pissing anyone off. The real positive of the beach wasn't their play time as what it did to them:

They were like this until Rocky's parents came to get him last night! Hank's still dragging! It's pretty awesome. Sleepy puppies make happy owners:)

WIAW time!

Breakfast: Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal

Snack: Pam's favorite yogurt-mixed berry

Lunch: Green Chili Enchilada Casserole from Holly Clegg's book-YUM!!

Snack: Fruit and Nut bar

Dinner: Leftover grilled flank steal and spaghetti squash with cilantro pesto and sundried tomato. I'm making myself eat the spaghetti squash. It was amazing the first time I made it but I haven't loved it since. I really should just stop buying it!

What did YOU eat today?
